“CARBON DISCHARGE PERMITS”

Subdued but joyous celebrations erupted around the world today after the Planetary Council finally announced the increased monthly allocations of Individual Carbon Discharge Permits.
Many ill people had struggled to stay alive for months in every jurisdiction, waiting to be granted ICDP’s to allow them to die legally. Their relief and pride in securing an authorised cremation was shared with family and friends in the usual array of religious or spiritual or civil ceremonies.

Elsewhere an Asian lobby group protested their apparently inadequate allocations and in the Republic of Aotearoa the usual rash of irresponsible independent suicides occurred.
